Had Ed M., Linda, Lesa, & Julie on one end & Mario, Mary, & Rod on the other. Big mahalo for showing up to help. We couldn't have been able to move these canoes w/out you. Again, mahalo plenty! Gavin, age 10, also showed up to help! Mahalo Gavin!

Mario will be at the paint site this week and estimates one of the boats will be done this week. We are anxious to see the outcome and offer our services to him if needed.

:-( Just wanted to give an update on the painting of the canoes. Unfortunatelty God has thrown a few curve balls and the paint is not curing in the time frame anticipated. In order to apply the protective clear coat, the paint itself must be cured or the process will cause a very ugly appearance. This is mainly due to no heat in the warehouse and thus it slows dry time. Hopefully by Monday evening we will be able to move Po'okela to the waterfront.

I will be up at the warehouse today(Sunday 4/2/06) finish sanding Po'okela and applying the clearcoat. I checked the paint yesterday afternoon and it just needed one more night to cure. Those of you that want to lend a hand, I will be up there at 3pm. Mahalo
